Pastel Glitter and Blue Nails for Diabetes

Hey all!

I read a few days ago on facebook and twitter that today ladies would be rocking blue on their nails for World Diabetes Day. I cheated a little since I already had these pics ready to go and hadn't found a chance to post them just yet.

I started with Sinful Colors Rainstorm, this absolutely lovely dark dusty blue creme. I'm pretty sure I only needed one coat, the formula was superb. It would probably stamp really nicely... hmm...

Now for the star of this post! The other polish I received from etsy seller Makeup Your Face was this beauty, Pastel Lover's Paradise. It's blue, pink and green pastel glitter and some transluscent white shard glitter as well. It applied like a dream just as I expected, since all her glitters have been awesome.

I am not 100% sure if I topped it with Gelous and top coat or just top coat. Either way, it wasn't a hungry or gritty glitter to begin with so you likely wouldn't need Gelous. I actually wore this combo for a full 4 days! No chips or tipwear, if you can believe it.

Said it before and I will say it again, Lauren from Makeup Your Face makes some really awesome polishes. Quality is always excellent and, best of all, her customer service is top notch. I wish all indie sellers were so accommodating and genuinely sweet.

Touchy Feely Polish Days!

It's a miracle! I'm posting something that's not a challenge mani! I missed last month's Polish Days and didn't want to repeat it this time. Polish Days are basically, a day where multiple bloggers agree to post on a certain topic on the same day at the same time and they're coordinated by Hannah from Polly Polish.

The theme for today was pretty open to interpretation, it was just 'sentimental'. I decided to use the first polish that I remember buying and loving, Milani Black Cherry. It was when I was in high school, around 2005-2007 probably, when the rage was black or almost black nails. We were in a group talking about this awesome shade we saw on someone else that was a dark almost black plum (no one knew the term 'vampy' of course). Later, I spotted this pretty at Walgreens and, when I wore it to school, my friends all had to know which color it was since it was exactly what we were looking for. This wasn't the beginning of my full fledged addiction, but it certainly helped!

I had actually bought this a while ago, planning to do a post on the significance of this shade for me when I saw the theme for this month and knew it had to be it. Two coats of lovely vampy-but-never-looks-black with the slightest hint of shimmer.

Black and White Challenge Day 6 - Color Base with White

I'm back again for another installment in the Black and White 10 Day Challenge! As you know, this challenge was by Mateja from Purple Glitters and Dolores from Colorful Bottle. Today we had a color base with white and only one idea popped in my head.... St. Patty's nails!

Since I haven't really had a chance to do St. Patrick's nails I settled for this simple design. This post will be a little long so make sure you stick around after the jump for more pictures!
