So this challenge was a bit of a pain in the butt. Not because I didn't have a K polish to post, but because I didn't have time to do anything for it! Tuesday was a very emotional day here in PR as we were in the finals of the World Baseball Classic against Dominican Republic, with whom we have a very long history of competition so tensions were high all-around. We lost, whatever. ANYWAY, point is, I would've painted my nails Tuesday if I hadn't been busy and from then on I haven't really had a chance or motivation to do them (I'm actually naked as I type, GASP!).
All that explanation to say that the mani I'm showing today was one I did and posted on Instagram about 5 weeks ago but I never took lightbox pictures of because life happened, so today I'm showing my cellphone pics I had stored (which are surprisingly good, I can see why people use their phones for blogging sometimes).
I started with two coats of KIKO 400, the silver holo from their LE collection a while back and stamped with black and DRK-A on my pointer and middle finger.
Not a macro, just zoomed in on one of the previous pics. |
So that's it from me! I didn't realize this post would be so rambly.
Have a great day and check out the rest of the manis that were posted on time for the challenge!
First of all I LOVE your ring! I also love this mani! I have never seen this color or brand. Adding to my wish list! You can never have too many holo's right??
ReplyDeleteNooooooo don't add it to your wishlist! Lol, Kiko's are only available in select cities in Europe (Italy, Spain and France I think) and the holo collection was LE and harder to find, I just lucked out because my mom went on a trip there. Sorry if I created a lemming that's hard to fulfill :(
DeleteAnd no, never enough holos :D.
I love this mani! And those are some incredible phone photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ketlyn! I was really impressed with the pictures too, now I know I have that option for holos since my camera dulls the effect :D
DeleteFor phone photos these are pretty good, very clear. Kind of puts my camera to shame Lol. I like the stamping design. The swirlyness and the holo goodness is kind of hypnotizing xD lol
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was an overall hypnotizing effect when I was wearing the ring in the sun :D
DeleteAh-ah, that image is perfect for your ring! And the colours you picked are, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was very excited when I realized how similar the Kiko was to the actual ring!
DeleteOh wow! Your ring complements the manicure a la perfección! :D Great picture! That Kiko is stunning, I am glad to own it too :p
ReplyDeleteGracias! Lucky you, you have access to Kikos all the time!
DeleteI am not usually a fan of holos - but wow this is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ariel! Also, not liking holos is blasphemy ;)
Deletesorry about the game (and I know it's much more than a game). :(
ReplyDeleteBut...
the mani rocks something crazy. is your mother interested in adopting a 56 year old woman, from New York, who fancies manicures and loves the idea of getting stash from MOROCCO? :O LOLOL.
That Kiko holo is insane, meaning perfectly wonderful. And those swirls? OMG. OMG. OMG. I'm in love.
I don't give a flying fig if you did this weeks ago. It's stunning and makes me want to do the happy dance.
:)
Thank you :). I can't be too mad, DR has such a strong team and at least we didn't crap out early in the competition, lol.
DeleteIt is such a lovely shade for a holo, I don't have many holos but this one stands alone!
That goes really well with the ring and just looks awesome in every way :) Great job!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the game :( I guess that was for you like Finland vs. Sweden ice hockey games are for us. Losing to Sweden is at least 100 times worse than losing to someone else.
Thanks Ria! It is exactly like that, don't mind losing, just that its to them lol.
DeleteI love the color and the the nail designs! I want that ring, it's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYour nails always look great!!
Kelly
xoxo
Thank you Kelly! My nails are pretty sad right now, corners keep breaking or peeling :(. But holos make everything better, lol.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteLike the swirly stamping & LOVE the ring!
ReplyDeleteThanks love!!
DeleteThat ring is so cool!! And the mani matches perfectly!! That stamp is super cool!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nicole! That is definitely one of my favorite stamps I have, I've used it so many times already! And it really is my dream ring :D
DeleteI love your ring and the stamping pattern you used, they're so hypnotic! And of course I am always happy to see Kiko polishes on non-italian blogs, I'm glad to read that their products are loved also out of my country. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are very much loved, Cristina! My mom brought back some makeup that was pretty good too so I am officially jealous of your access to Kiko. I imagine it's a pride similar to when I see Bettinas on an international blog :)
DeleteOK! Seriously! You girls with the Kiko polishes must have had a meeting and said I think it would be fun to torture Gini! Because each one seems to be better than the last! This is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteNoo sorry Gini, I promise I didn't go to the meeting :(. They really are kind of amazing, such a buttery formula for a holo! Just sayin', maybe you'll have a chance to own one... SPOILER ALERT.
DeleteWoooooooow how awesome is this! I love the combo with the ring. It matches perfectly! I need Kiko polishes but I cant get them weeeeehhhhhhhh lol
ReplyDeleteBoo! It's usually next to impossible for me to get them too, I just happened to get lucky this time :(.
