ABC Challenge 'D' - Don't Talk Bach To Me

Hi all!

Thank goodness that the fabulous mani that I mentioned on Monday started chipping, or I wouldn't have had the heart to remove it! Last night I remembered that I didn't have a post ready for today and I had no idea which polish to use, so I started rummaging through my drawers and found one that I hadn't posted here yet! (At least, I don't think I did...)

I'm showing two coats of OPI's Don't Talk Bach to Me from their Fall collection. It's gotten a lot of flack for being one of those ugly colors but I really liked it. It's different, like a really muted yellow with a hint of poopy undertones? Anyway, then I stamped with Illamasqua Muse and plate DRK-A.




For some reason, with the stamping and maybe my camera, it looked more like a chartreuse green but HERE is a color accurate swatch. I didn't really like this when I finished but it grew on me, so much so that I did the other hand to match because I didn't have time to do anything else.

What do you think? I love how Illamasqua Muse stamped but I probably won't use it too often for that. It's a little too expensive for a stamping polish lol.

    I love this color!! I don't think it's ugly at all and you stamp so well.

    OMG i love this combo! The colors together are amazing. I need to practice on my stamping skills, im terrible at it ;)

      I was terrible at it (and still am sometimes). Sometimes it takes several tries until I like something! :)

      Thank you! I love the DRK-A for stamping, since the images are so big you can't go wrong and miss a piece of nail. I should look into getting another one... And definitely just practice if you really like it, if I can do it, anyone can! :D

    I think that it's a fabulous color combination that I'd wear in a New York second. No ifs, ands, or buts.

    It's a real show-stopper, and your stamping is exquisite.

      It can be annoying in the beginning and every once in a while I'll have a huge fail with my stamping but when it works, it works!

      I once read a girl say you can tell the true polishaholics from the 'casual' user because we like the uglier colors, lol. Don't know how true that might be but I do enjoy the poopier colors sometimes :D

    LOL - poopy undertones! I am usually not a huge fan of yellow, but this doesn't look like a true yellow. Looks great with your skin tone. Really like the green? blue? stamping too.

      Thank you! I always get compliments when I wear yellow or yellow toned polishes but I just never reach for them for some reason.

    This is so happy! I love it! Illamasqua polishes are so awesome for stamping. But yeah, I always feel guilty for using such a pricey polish to stamp with

      It is pretty cheery, very spring like to me. I know, it hurt me to see the polish I scraped away while stamping.

      Lol yeah, it's not a full on poopy color but the undertones are there :D. My boyfriend said it looked retro too!
