Fish Egg ... Monday? or Caviar Manicure

Good morning! I'm enjoying a day off because it's a holiday here in Puerto Rico! Sorry to those of you working ;)

Now, you might have caught the hint that I was doing a caviar mani for my cousin's wedding if you saw the end of this post. Truth be told, it didn't really work out for the wedding. I was in too much of a hurry getting ready and wasn't completely sure what I wanted to do so I just did simple red nails. When I got home though, I did swatch what I had in mind just so I could have practice for next time.

Enter last friday's posts. If you follow other blogs you probably saw 'Fish Egg Friday' as a rebellion towards a company sending C&D letters for using a mani that they neither invented nor have trademarked....yet. I didn't have time to post them on friday but I present to you my caviar nails!

Lots of pics today so be sure to keep reading after the jump!

I have to say, I love this to bits! The secret I found to help alleviate my touch of OCD is to use the same base color as your beads. I'm also dying to do these with multicolors but this is good enough for now. Not much else to say, you can find a million wonderful tutorials on how to apply these starting with Jen's at ThePolishAholic. Picture spam time!

And these were the beads I used. They're from Michael's (like most everyone else) and they were 50% off when I went so I got the 12 colors for $7! I was so excited because I had to buy these while in Miami since we no longer have a Michael's in PR and by sheer coincidence they were on sale :)

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did!

    1. I'm very sorry, I would probably be addicted if I had a Michael's at home too! I really should post a swatch of just the red I used.
