Blogger Awards

Hey all!

Today I'll be sharing with you some blogger awards I got by way of Hillary at Chipped Nail Blog and Kelly (?) from Nailpocalypse (I totally keep writing Nailpocalybse, maybe I'm an upside-down dyslexic?)

This is going to be a bit of a wall 'o text so it's going to be under a jump cut!

Hillary is a new blogger like me with very clean swatch pictures and some nail art. I really like the layout of her blog too for some reason. Anyway, she tagged me for the Versatile Blogger award and the instructions are:

•  Thank the person who gave you this award. 
•  Include a link to their blog.

7 random things:
- I have 3 pets: a golden retriever, a cat and a stray dog that's a teensy bit cray-cray.

- I've recently realized I prefer my nails a bit shorter than they are now, but I can't bring myself to file them down because I'm worried they won't grow again. Stupid? Yes.

- I can make sushi

- My boyfriend's mom makes beautiful glass jewelry and decorations

- I have very straight hair, everyone around me envies it because I don't have to do anything to it, but I wish it had more body and could hold curls

- I'm a dork. I hadn't really noticed how big of a dork until I got together with my boyfriend, who allows my dorkiness tho shine through.

- I ran out of stuff to say. For now.

I also got nominated by the weird mastermind behind Nailpocalypse. For all we comment on each other's blogs and the budding bromance (I hope) we've got going on, I don't really know her name. I just know her as KawaiiKagura, which makes me think of her as a ninja.

The Questions are -

1. How long have you been blogging?

My first post was on January 24,2012. Though I didn't post a mani I liked until February 16.

2. What are the 1-2 reasons why you started blogging?

I needed something to do I think. Something that added some structure to my life. I had also gotten hooked on all the pretty nails and wanted mine to grow out.

3. What types of blogs do you like to follow/read?

I mostly read nail related blogs. Be it a swatching blog, nail art or stamping, I like 'em all! I tend to prefer blogs where I can get a sense of the person writing. ThePolishaholic and Nailpocalypse are those kinds blogs that are fun to read.

4. What is one thing you would like to improve as a blogger/ on your blog?

My picture-taking capabilities :D. That and I really need to practice my stamping skills again.

1. Favourite song?

I have very many too many. Right now I'm digging Erase Me by Kid Cudi ft. Kanye West. Adele can do no wrong though, so she'll always count.

2. Favourite Dessert?

Anything chocolatey, cheesecakes or pastries I guess. I bake quite a lot, but don't eat most of the things I make. I don't wanna get fat.

3. What drives me insane?

When I KNOW something is going to happen and I tell my boyfriend, who ignores me. Then everything happens like I thought it would and it's even more maddening!

4. When I'm mad?

I get really quiet. Eventually people notice and ask what's wrong and I say nothing. Unless it's my mom, then I just unload.

5. Favourite pet?

For years I swore I was a cat person, but my golden has completely changed my mind about dogs! I'd also REALLY LOVE a pony.

6. Black or White?

Blue.

7. Biggest Fear?

Disappointing people, I have issues. (Didn't have to change this one, just ditto)

                                                                             

8. My daily attitude?

Oh...is that my fault? Welp, too late now!

9. Whats perfect?
A rainy day by myself at my house just watching movies with no one bugging me. I'm a bit of a couch potato.

10. Guilty pleasure?

Sleeping.

I don't really know what to do with this one.
