I may be late but its well before midnight so I'm still on time! I have to be honest, I'm a little tired of the challenge, as you can see by how late I've been posting lately. However, while I may be a little burnt out, I have enjoyed SO much posting with all these awesome girls. I am definitely down for another challenge or group posts every now and then so if any of you feel the same way, leave a comment either here or on Kimber's blog! Just please, not a LONG challenge :D
I had a hard time deciding on which mani to recreate today since there were so many awesome posts from all the girls. In the end though, I chose something that wouldn't be too time consuming since I knew I was going to be busy today. I know it's kind of cheating but I have every intention on recreating a couple of really awesome manis I've seen from all the girls later.
Today I recreated Kate's yellow nails from Day 3 of the challenge! I didn't have the extra awesome neon polish she used so I substituted with China Glaze Sun-Kissed over Revlon Graceful. Kate runs The Painted Pony blog and she has some really amazing nail art, you definitely need to check out her blog if you haven't seen it yet.
I had a couple of smudgey tape disasters but, overall, it's not a bad look! I've had these craft scissors for a while now but couldn't get them to work. The strips were too thick or it would mangle the design. A good tip if you want to try this is to get blue painter's tape instead of clear scotch tape and actually stick the tape onto the blade and cut down. I don't know if that made any sense...
Anyway, if you have any questions let me know in the comments! Now go see the other ladies and their recreations to conclude this epic challenge!

Gorgeous rendition, Kat!
ReplyDeleteI'm up for another challenge, too. Like you, I'm game for short one (Sexy Sundays or some such theme).
It's been a whole lot of fun working this challenge with you.
Lisa
I love this!! I loved it the first time around too! Yay for another challenge!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool Kat! Haha I'm all in for a shorter challenge. It has been so great doing these challenges with you and the other girls. Thanks for the wonderful time! I'm sure we will do another challenge someday soon :D
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteHad fun doing the challenge with you ;)
These look sooo good! I am honored that you chose one of my designs : ) You are so right about sticking the tape to the scissors and cutting down, that is definitely the best way. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. I also have had issues with craft scissors and normal tape, I have read that painter's tape is a little more sturdy and easier for them to cut but I haven't tried it yet.
ReplyDeleteI love this mani and have been wanting to recreate it for some time now! I'm new to blogging and would LOVE to join my first challenge, something short would probably be good for me since I'm new, just let me know. My blog is called Pretty Pink & Chic or you can email at bkoch134@hotmail.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
I really love this color combination. Fantastic! congrats on completing a CHALLENGE : D
